Kicking off September: Current favorite kdramas and some horror recs

September kicked off with a rainy weather. Not complaining because I really could use a cooler weather. My 17 year-old self who lived for summertime would roll her eyes, but I’d take rainy days over hot ones now, thank you very much.

This side of the world, entering the “ber” months practically means Christmas season. Just last night, a radio station played three Christmas songs in a row. At past three in the morning. If that isn’t the true spirit of Christmas in September, I don’t know what is. 😆

Take what works and leave the rest

Half of the year just went by in the blink of an eye. 2023, liked all the years before it, started with fireworks, enthusiastic cheers, and equally enthusiastic whoops and yells. Now it’s early August and I’ve been hearing some AM radio stations playing Christmas songs. 🎄 At this rate, Christmas will be in the air by September and I’m not complaining. Hohohoho!

Aside: I spent the last week of July away from work. Not for a vacation. Not for a grand birthday celebration. More for hibernation. 😆 I slept early and slept in most of those days. It was DELICIOUS. Sleeping/napping is always delicious. 😁

Rainy weather, part-time insomniac

I feel like words fail me now, and all thoughts and feelings that come with that statement? They are swiftly followed by the urge to just sleep and sleep and sleep. The rainy weather we’ve been having recently is like a slice of sunshine in my little corner of the world. I used to hate rainy days with passion, but I’ve come to appreciate it the older I grew.

I’ve been cobbling together some words for this romantic comedy I’ve been writing and it’s been rough lately. Why do the scenes look so good in my head, but when I write them I feel like something’s lacking? 😅 I think I have evolved into a creature who is just screaming words out into the void.

All right. Tangent comes to a full stop now. Who else here has been watching ongoing dramas (Korean dramas)? Please make yourself known, because I’d love to get to know more fellow kdrama fans.

Same great taste, dot net version

It has been raining the past couple of days during this long weekend. Sleeping early and sleeping in? DELICIOUS. How’s your weekend going?

I know. I have resurfaced after many months of radio silence and after suddenly dropping the .com, swapping it with .net, too! What other crazy things have I been doing? So glad you asked because there’s really nothing new, except… oh! A a book, a movie, and a few kdramas. Take these as recommendations, if you will. I did drop some kdramas, like “Marriage, Not Dating” and “The Secret Romantic Guesthouse.” But the ones I kept watching are mentioned here. I hope you enjoy reading about them! 🙂

October things: Kdrama romcoms and thrillers + my first ever published story

This month was an abysmal one for blogging. There’s a reason behind it  but I think it’s best saved for another time. On the bright side: While being an absentee blogger  my writing side projects were  for the most part  going okay. There really are clients who are so hard to deal with when it comes to payments. Aside from problematic clients  Iím proud to say that my writing (copywriting and fiction writing) has been prolific. I’m sure Grammarly would be proud of me  too. My initial plan back in September was to focus on my kdrama website, Ramyeon & Reviews. I had my content calendar all ready for October. I had so much fun searching for and piecing together blog topics! But things happened and I had to push back all the fun and creepy posts. Who’s up for Nightmarish November instead?

It feels SO GOOD as I type this down. It feels like forever since I last blogged. I figured Iíd drop by here and fill you in with what made October worth it.
