Dear Pinterest…

Please stop sending me notifications on photos of Lay Zhang shirtless.

I know it’s probably one of the hot searches in your search engine (and it’s not hard to see why), but I like him — no, love — I love him bare-faced. I mean, have you even seen him in “Reknow”? The man just doesn’t have a beautiful face. He has a beautiful handwriting, too. He makes mine look clunky and chunky and I would’ve felt bad except that Lay Zhang is someone who actually creates, arranges, and produces music. AND he dances so, so well, too. Somehow, those facts take the sting away. At least my handwriting lost to someone THAT multi-talented and great.

Please stop sending me graphics of sad Taylor Swift songs.

I’m not even heartbroken but seeing all those lyrics (especially ones from “All Too Well”) makes me feel like being alone with my tears, beers, and candles. I love Taylor Swift, but at this time in my life, I think “Delicate” and “Paper Rings” are more fit for me. I know misery loves company, but I would like to be excluded from this narrative. K thx bye.

Please do keep sending me beautiful quotes from various authors.

They keep me going. All that sadness and pensive vibe are exactly what I need during our third lockdown this side of the world. I mean, if I’m going to be sad might as well be sad about opportunities missed and chances lost instead of weeping over a mythical man, right?

I think this list is pretty much it. Keep doing a wonderful job. You know you love me.

xoxo,
a blogger whose well-being is being tested because lockdown season 3
