Ob-la-di ob-la-da. It’s a long weekend, yaaaahh!

Hello there, fine folks who tumbled down the rabbit hole and found my little space in this corner of the internet! I’m honored and pleased to have you as my guest here. Please, do take a seat. Never mind the cobwebs. They’re harmless reminders that I haven’t really been blogging lately.

Today’s menu (not in chronological order, because we like to get wild and crazy over here):

We’ve got aliens, a funny but true (and relatable!) video on creative anxiety and procrastination, my new favorite album, and a sprinkle of horror. šŸ‘» Without further ado, let’s get on with the show! Erm, I mean blog post.

Beyond kpop glitter, tasty rose cream tteokbokki, Baekhyun’s “Delight”, and my food/kdrama pairing ritual

Hi, it’s me. Your favorite absentee millennial kdrama fan ā€“ one who would rather chew glass than answer that unknown number calling my phone. How have you been? The weekend drives by too fast, as always. Sometimes, I wonder how many days it will take for me to become bored and not feel like each day is all about cramming things that I should do versus things I actually want to do (maybe also versus things I actually did do. *tee-hee!*)

I think blogging once a week is doable for me. Hence, this post. Ta-da! Today, we’ve got another kdrama recommendation, a food that tastes like a party in your mouth, my heartbreak and fluttering heart combo over Baekhyun, and a long-standing habit (or should I say quirk?) of mine when it’s time to watch a kdrama.

Let’s get started!

The 3 AM curse of the weekend, a quirky kdrama, Park Hyung Sik, and no, his car isn’t yours

I need to stop trying to sleep early during the weekend, only to wake up at past 3 AM, and then go back to sleep at 8 or 9 AM, body sore and exhausted. Even though all I did was watch a kdrama or two (or a hundred) and then doom scroll through my phone. Anybody else go through this?

As I type this, I have finished the first episode of “Chicken Nugget” kdrama, played a bit of Sim City Build It, organized around 30 out of 7,567 photos in my phone, and had some rice and sisig tofu + Milo. Would I start another study session on Korean language? Maybe. My brain cells aren’t themselves when lacking sleep at past 3 in the morning. Next thing I know, I’ll be contacting aliens. *cue “The X-Files” intro music*

I just take as much as you can throw

Hey, stranger. How have you been? It’s me. The problem and also an absentee blogger. My last post was November 2022 and oh wow. How dare the five-month radio silence? The nerve! The cheek! Well Ā more like the low energy that no caffeine in the world can save.

The past five months have been a blur; sometimes a blackhole. Even my personal journal (written longhand! because I am a throwback like that!) were merely blips in my timeline. I have consumed kdrama and music. I have stayed up late in the night, watching the stories in my head instead of writing them down. I have written a romcom (still ongoing Ā but I’ll get to that later). And some days,Ā I slept for 10 hours. That’s mostly the memories I have of the past five months.

Not to say that those are my only memories…

Dear Pinterestā€¦

Please stop sending me notifications on photos of Lay Zhang shirtless.

I know itā€™s probably one of the hot searches in your search engine (and itā€™s not hard to see why), but I like him ā€” no, love ā€” I love him bare-faced. I mean, have you even seen him in ā€œReknowā€? The man just doesnā€™t have a beautiful face. He has a beautiful handwriting, too. He makes mine look clunky and chunky and I wouldā€™ve felt bad except that Lay Zhang is someone who actually creates, arranges, and produces music. AND he dances so, so well, too. Somehow, those facts take the sting away. At least my handwriting lost to someone THAT multi-talented and great.
