I don’t think I will ever get tired of saying things like, “It’s the middle of August already?” I swear, it feels like time flies faster the older you get. Lately, I’ve been thinking of how cool it would be if time travel was real. I’d definitely travel back to the 90s, hands down. Casey Kasem’s Top 40 on the radio. MTV’s “Daria” and “Beavis and Butthead.” Rollerblades. “Goosebumps” and “Fear Street.” Sunflower hair clips. 😂 Neon caps. Colorful shirts. Baggy jeans. Birkenstock sandals *pause and then whispers* with slouched socks.
The past couple of weeks, life was a cycle of work, Korean dramas, and hospital visits. The third quarter of this month is going meh 😑 so far BUT, like everything else, it also has its good, sparkly moments. Like kdramas that are so damn good. (I always post on the sidebar the dramas I’m currently watching.) “Revenant” was such a good one. I wish it had more than 12 episodes.
A writer’s website
I keep forgetting things recently and a website I created is one of them.
I built it with my ongoing story in mind. I wanted a place in the internet where I can talk about what I’m writing. I also wanted to improve my web design skills. I named my writer’s website Lemonheart because I was reading “Birthday” by Koji Suzuki and “Lemonheart” is the second story in it.
I enjoyed it immensely – putting together this website. I finally have a place where my stories can reside. And it’s always fun creating a new website. You can check it out here if you want.
In disbelief, but also in denial 😆
The past month, I’ve been going to the hospital for check-ups and lab tests. The lab tests seemed like a never-ending story because we didn’t find one hospital which could accommodate all the lab tests I needed. So we had to jump from one hospital to another just to get most of them done.
I recently went back to my doctor, armed with pages and pages of lab test results. I was told that I have an autoimmune disease and a problem with blood clotting. Doctor was pretty convinced I have lupus, too, based on my symptoms and the results of the blood tests. Next plan is to consult another specialist to confirm this.

All the cool things
I have been spoiled with such good kdramas recently. I don’t have anything horror in my list, but I do have cool supernatural ones.
I have recently added two new kdramas to my watch list, but “Moving” surprised me. I was looking forward to watching it, but I didn’t think I would grow to love it. To be moved by it. It’s an understatement when I say that all those TikTok videos of this kdrama, especially the flashback of the flying kid’s parents, are just making me fall in love with this series more.

August, so far
Eating is one of the best things in life. I recently saw a video of Korea’s franchise of BBQ Chicken and I drooled. Now this place is in my must-eat-there list. 🤤 😍 Fun fact: I read somewhere that this Korean resto was featured in “Crash Landing On You.” (I couldn’t confirm, though, because I dropped the series after a few episodes. No hate, please. 😅)
