It’s been raining the past few days and I love it. Rainy days are meant for being at home curled up in bed with my favorite kdramas and books.
So are we going to ignore the fact that my last blog post was four months ago? I know I know. I’m a terrible blogger. I mean I don’t even have a niche, to begin with. The least I could do was blog about the kdramas I’ve watched but my lazybones self couldn’t even string together coherent sentences to share with you. I couldn’t even cobble together passable words to convey how intriguing and ghastly “Rose Mansion” is or how “Shooting Stars” is both hilarious and sweet.
Life happened and I know it’s no excuse. I’m not even going to come up with one. Lazybones, remember? Ha! But. There’s a but, though. This unplanned hiatus was good for my headspace. It was something I needed without even realizing it. I hope you’re doing well, you who are reading this. Whether you’re a first time visitor or you’ve been here before, that one is for you. I hope you’re doing well and that you’re giving yourself the time and space to feel better in so many ways. We owe that much to ourselves.
I’m watching
“Rose Mansion”
An apartment becomes the talk of the community when a tenant goes missing. But it doesn’t stop there. When the sister of the missing tenant arrives to investigate the case with the help of a detective, another murder in the apartment takes place. Gossip and malice swirl around their community. This kdrama is dark and grisly. The 18+ rating for this series should’ve clued me in for what I was getting myself into. But I love this and I can’t wait for the story to unfold. It only has a few episodes left as I publish this blog post
“Shooting Stars”
This is the antithesis of my other current favorite the aforementioned “Rose Mansion.” This romcom is hilarious without being over the top. I love the hate-to-love trope and the sub-plots are entertaining. The basic plot: The two main leads work for the same entertainment agency. One is the head of PR department and the other is the agency’s highest paid actor. Whenever the two meet, hilarity and chaos ensue. We’re already halfway through this series and just thinking of how it only has a few episodes left already makes me miss this kdrama.
From Now On Showtime!
The Full Moon Murder case happened more than a decade ago and the killer has resurfaced. It is now up to this unlikely duo – a popular and huffy magician and a naive but fierce cop – to catch the killer and put an end to his supernatural evil. Together with the magician’s ghost employees and shaman folks, they try to outsmart and beat the killer before more innocent people are murdered. This series may have its dramatic moments but their humor balances it nicely. I love that about this series. Plus points for the creepy and evil supernatural villain.

Getting your heart trampled on by anyone… 🎶 I’m joking. But of course. On with the list!
Saya in Underworld blog. Lots of creepy and cryptic stories there. Any horror fan would appreciate her posts.
With keeembap blog. I initially stumbled upon her blog when I was looking for reviews on “Tokyo Mystery Sake.” I immediately fell in love with her writing style.
Emi Wong’s list of programs. My current favorite is her 15-day full body fat burn.

Have a wonderful weekend folks! And remember: Two is better than one. Especially when it comes to Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory’s cheese puffs.
