One Weekend: Pandemic Edition, from your favorite kdrama girl

It’s been raining the past few days and I love it. Rainy days are meant for being at home curled up in bed with my favorite kdramas and books.

So are we going to ignore the fact that my last blog post was four months ago? I know I know. I’m a terrible blogger. I mean I don’t even have a niche, to begin with. The least I could do was blog about the kdramas I’ve watched but my lazybones self couldn’t even string together coherent sentences to share with you. I couldn’t even cobble together passable words to convey how intriguing and ghastly “Rose Mansion” is or how “Shooting Stars” is both hilarious and sweet.

Life happened and I know it’s no excuse. I’m not even going to come up with one. Lazybones, remember? Ha! But. There’s a but, though. This unplanned hiatus was good for my headspace. It was something I needed without even realizing it. I hope you’re doing well, you who are reading this. Whether you’re a first time visitor or you’ve been here before, that one is for you. I hope you’re doing well and that you’re giving yourself the time and space to feel better in so many ways. We owe that much to ourselves.

Mac Mini things that my successor will inherit if I ever resign from work

Here are some of things that my descendant will inherit with my Mac Mini, if I didn’t wipe it clean of any traces of me before handing it off to them.

If the group chat was a magazine

The group chat was on fire that day and, like most all-girls chat, it started out so innocently. All I can say is that if the group chat was a podcast episode that day, we would’ve been on the noisy list. Too bad (or not) we aren’t into podcast creation, though. For posterity’s sake, I created a what would have been a magazine cover instead. And vintage, to boot! Now before I dive into the heart of this post, I’d like to thank Template app for this wonderful, wonderful creative accompaniment to this post. What started as a random inspiration for my Instagram story soon turned into a blog post. I love it when creativity breeds creativity. I am all for it.

But yeah. The others’ reactions that were brought to light on that fateful chat: I never knew Greek mythology was like that! You’re telling me “The Little Mermaid” never had a happy ending? “Hellbound” gave me chills for a number of different reasons. Also, you told me I wasn’t getting out of the house so I dressed like this.

You asked, I answered: Ways to keep your shit together after a breakup

We’ve all been there: That dark time, the black hole, that hellhole also known as the break up. We all get a little wiser after each breakup, for sure. But that doesn’t make it any easier, does it? Unless, of course, it wasn’t anything serious and the decision to break up was mutual. Now before I proceed with some really helpful tips, let’s dip our toes into semantics for a bit because misery loves company. And sometimes, grammar can really make one miserable. Don’t at me.

Okay. Now that we’ve gotten that little gremlin out of the way, onward we march to today’s question:

What are the good ways of keeping your shit together after a breakup?

So glad you asked. I have graduated with BA Heartbreak, major in Keeping Your Shit Together with flying colors. I assure you that you are in the best hands and about to get quality tips. In fact, it’s so good we’ll jump straight to the top tips from your friendly oddball of a blogger. (Spoiler alert: Me. It’s me. I’m that blogger.)

Radio Silence Finally Broken

The last time I blogged, it was about Lay Zhang shirtless, only because Pinterest keeps recommending me those photos. Lay’s sexiest part of the body is his brain, if you ask me. Especially when he’s creating songs. I know Pinterest means well when it keeps recommending me shirtless photos of him, so we’ll leave it at that. But yeah. That man creates, arranges, and produces his own songs. My current favorite is an old track of his called “Peach” because it’s fun and upbeat. A really good tune to listen to while I exercise.

More than two months had passed since I last blogged. What have I been doing during that (unplanned, really) radio silence? I wish I could give a cohesive answer, because I’d like to know, too.
